I have been there too … it took me a long time to realize that I had no control over my mind. Growing up I believed that just because I thought the thought, it must be true. That was great when things were upbeat and positive, but once they turned dark, it sent me reeling. I believed all the ugly, nasty things my brain would tell me. My self-esteem suffered greatly and I always felt that I wasn’t measuring up.
What I didn’t understand at the time was by not taking control of my mind, I was essentially allowing a “drunk monkey” loose in my house. It was destroying everything, even things I loved and held dear. It was creating problems.
Over the course of many years, I had gone from a relatively “happy” kid to a not-so-happy adult.
My answer was to see the actual answers in books and personal growth programs. You’d either find me in the “self-help” section or the “business” section in the bookstore. I loved my books. I discovered mentors early and would endlessly read their words, listened to their cassette tapes, and attend their live events. They were great .. I’ve challenged myself, I’ve experienced the excitement and felt great about myself … for a moment.
I was gaining knowledge but I couldn’t understand why the changes weren’t sticking for me in the long run. In fact, that voice in my head was so awful, I would joke that if people could hear what it was saying to me, I’d be arrested for abuse! That’s pretty awful and actually not all that funny.

This is a 7-week hybrid Positive Intelligence program, designed by Shirzad Chamin. Each week you will watch the video released by Shirzad and his team and each day you will put into practice some of the techniques that you learn in the video.
Then once you have some practice you and the other members of your pod group will meet weekly with Coach Liz for 90-minutes to dive deeper into the topic. Here you can ask questions, bring your own experiences and learn from others too.
